You must complete the challenge in front of you to move to the next level of the pyramid!

CHALLENGES

Start at Tier one! You cannot move on to Tier two until you complete it! Get through as many challenges as you can to reach the prize Tiers! All those who reach the prize Tiers will be entered into the draw to win the prizes!

Tier 10

Run 10km for Time – This run must be completed in 1 session, and you must record your time in Zen Planner prior to June 15th.

Tier 9

900 Double Unders – If you don’t have DU’s do 1800 Single skips. Can be completed in one session or across multiple days.

Tier 8

80 body weight Back Squats – Complete as prescribed if the weight is appropriate for your current strength level. If your body weight is close to (or exceeds) your 1 RM back squat then please do the reps at 50% of body weight. Can be completed in one session or across multiple days.

Tier 7

Hero WOD “The Seven” – If appropriate do this workout RX, if it’s not appropriate, please scale to your level to complete the workout safely. Complete this workout in 1 session.

Tier 6

6km Ski Erg – km’s can be accumulated all in one session, or in multiple days.

Tier 5

500 Bodyweight / Gymnastics reps – pullups / pushups / box jumps are all good options. Yes you can mix and match. The reps can be accumulated all in one session or in multiple days.

Tier 4

400 Kettlebell swings – pick an appropriate kettlebell for your level. Reps can be Russian or American. Can be accumulated all in one session, or in multiple days.

Tier 3

300 Burpees – can be accumulated all in one session or in multiple days.

Tier 2

Move 20,000 / 15,000lb of weight – 20,000 (Men) / 15,000 (Women). This is achieved by lifting a barbell. (deadlift, squat, snatch, press, bench, etc…) Every rep you lift counts. Ex. 200lb deadlift x 5reps x 5sets = 5000lbs. Yes you can include warm ups lifts… 10reps x 45lb bar = 450lbs.

RULES

  • You must finish Tier 1 completely before moving onto Tier 2, then you must complete Tier 2 before moving onto Tier 3, etc… Finishing with Tier 10 at the top of the pyramid.
  • You can only count things toward the tier you are ON. If you were on a different tier when you did Fran, the lifts wouldn’t count toward the lifting total.
  • All work must be verified by a coach.
  • Your work does NOT need to be completed all in one session unless otherwise specified. (But you cannot move on until it is completed!) Work must be done in the gym (unless otherwise stated).
  • The contest will end on the 15th of June.The last Tier you completed by that day is your final position on the Pyramid.
  • For anything where Modifications are permitted (or needed) / weight needs to be decided please pick an option that is most appropriate for you. Please don’t sandbag it, and please don’t do something dangerous or too heavy…
  • Only work done between May 15 and June 14 2021 will count toward your climb!

The best way to explain how the Tier system works is with an example:

If the tier you are working on calls for lifting a total of 20,000 pounds, this means you must complete enough lifts to eventually lift a total of 20,000 pounds. Absolutely everything you do in the gym that uses a barbell counts toward the total pounds lifted. Simply multiply the lifts by the weight lifted. So if you did Fran RX, and you are a male, this means you did 45 thrusters x 95 pounds… You just completed 4275 pounds of your 20,000! You cannot move on until you lift an additional 15725.
