He moved on to play for the BC Lions for the 2003 season. He ended his professional football career upon his acceptance into the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College’s Doctor of Chiropractic program in 2004.

Dr. Almon practices out of his Gastown clinic named MVMTLAB, where he treats athletes and the general active population alike, focusing on dynamic neuromuscular stabilization and neuroplasticity. His approach to chiropractic treatment & diagnostic is holistic and based on his unique understanding of athletic performance and biomechanics. Each of his appointments include reactive stability testing and movement pattern analysis, and various progressive soft tissue manipulation techniques.
He created a Pre/Rehab group training program called DEVELOPMENT Series , which consists of 5 different classes that each focus on perfecting base movement patterns, resetting the neuromuscular system and accelerating a patient’s path to recovery. The first class of the series is called GROUND CONTROL and is recommended for all patients as it complements any treatment plan. It is held at MVMTLAB 3 mornings a week and led by Dr Almon himself, where he encourages patients to work together in a challenging, engaging and positive environment to successfully reprogram their movement patterns and control chronic pain once and for all.
Dr Almon is a member of the BC Chiropractic Association (BCCA), the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA), and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
